Welcome to the 2026 Caribbean Dental Sleep Medicine Conference

The Caribbean Sleep Medicine Alliance, in collaboration with Caribbean Dental Sleep Medicine, is proud to present the 2026 Caribbean Sleep Medicine Alliance Roundtable & Exclusive Practice Mentorship with internationally recognised Dental Sleep Medicine leader Dr. Aditi Desai.

This year’s meeting represents a new and highly practical approach to Sleep Medicine education in the Caribbean. Designed for dentists, physicians, dental hygienists, myofunctional therapists, nurses, dental office team members, and other healthcare professionals, the programme focuses on helping clinicians understand and implement modern multidisciplinary approaches to the assessment and management of obstructive sleep apnoea and related sleep-disordered breathing conditions.

The main Roundtable Meeting will take place on Friday June 19, 2026 at the beautiful Sugar Hill Estate in Westmoreland, St. James, Barbados — an inspiring environment designed to encourage both learning and collaboration. The highly interactive programme will explore topics including patient assessment, home sleep testing, referral pathways, oral appliance therapy, titration protocols, medico-legal considerations, and multidisciplinary collaboration in patient care.

A unique feature of this year’s programme will be the inclusion of limited exclusive one-on-one in-practice mentorship sessions with Dr. Aditi Desai from June 15–17, 2026. These mentorship sessions are specifically designed for clinicians who may already have some exposure to Dental Sleep Medicine — including screening patients — but who are seeking personalised guidance on implementation, case review, workflow integration, and practical next steps within their own practices.

The programme is also ideal for clinicians who are completely new to Sleep Medicine and wish to better understand this rapidly evolving area of healthcare. As awareness of the relationship between sleep-disordered breathing and systemic health continues to grow internationally, healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines are increasingly recognising the importance of becoming familiar with contemporary Sleep Medicine concepts and collaborative models of care.

Led by Dr. Aditi Desai — President of the British Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and one of the world’s leading educators in the field — this meeting offers a rare opportunity for Caribbean clinicians to learn directly from an internationally respected expert within an intimate and collaborative environment.

Early registration is encouraged, as mentorship spaces are limited.
